Raven Initiates Me Into Knowledge From The Beyond

My discovery of a wondrously new approach to astrology started long ago during an encounter with a large and curious Raven. I was engaged in a spirit journey when I met him, which is when we get up out of our bodies and travel to the Spirit World. This wildly free and magical black bird unexpectedly appeared at my side when I was walking into an actual place, a cave, in an abundantly rich and powerful world that exists beyond time and space.It was just as I was entering this cave, that I felt something very different by my legs. When I looked down I saw this very big Raven strutting beside me, lifting his legs high into the air before him. He pretended to be over serious and I had the feeling he purposely was mimicking me.

Amused by his antics, I couldn't help but laugh out loud, and how good it was to do so. My heart swelled and I asked, "What are you doing?" "Jaywalking!" he immediately quipped as if it was the key to learning how to walk in a self-empowered manner through life. So clever was he, because in one word he communicated so much to me. In short, with his guidance we were going on a journey where we were not bound by limiting societal rules and thinking. We were not going to be following the black and white and yellow lines and stop lights of the western culture. He was going to show me what it's like to break out of the box I and countless others of our society were living in. I was going to something so new and freeing!

Unsure of what I was getting into, I followed the Raven to a place that seemed so far away and yet so close by. He pointed with his beak to a circle that was encoded with symbols of the sky high on a rocky cliff. It was a doorway that lead to an endless amount of knowledge about astrology and the stars.

Telepathically the Raven conveyed that this doorway would lead to very different and diverse experiences of the Sky Beings - the Sun, Moon, planets, and constellations. If I chose to enter, I would be entering an apprenticeship with him and many other Spirits along with the Sky Beings. It was not to be a small undertaking. My apprenticeship would be extensive and also help me learn to be the Real Me, without all the baggage and pretenses I had been carrying around for decades.

In Raven's presence, I understood that my studies with the Spirits and Sky Beings would require that I discover experientially how to approach their teachings with an open mind and heart. I would need to let go of the habitual and limiting forms of astrological thinking that had swirling inside my head for fifteen or so years. My brain had been filled with all that I had blindly believed and absorbed when reading so many western cultural astrology books.

The Raven gifts were a blessing and would also stretch my mind so that my mind was much more elastic, much more able to learn on levels that we might call multidimensional. He was offering me a package deal. Not only was I going discover a whole new world of star knowledge with the help of enormously intelligent Beings, but I was going to discover a new sense of my Genuine Ancient and Loving Self. Moreover, the apprenticeship with him would reveal how to walk my path now and into the far future. In this transformative process, my approach and perception astrology naturally would change, such that I could more clearly sense the subtle energies and messages that the star charts emanate.

My feathered friend also conveyed to me that this knowledge would help bring in a new paradigm to Earth. Our world has become so filled with pain, power-over, and the squelching of what is innocent and beautiful. The Raven expressed an unbound love and deep caring for humanity and our planet. His way was one of exquisite healing. As it has been my dream and passion to help humanity move to a wonderful and loving new creative consciousness, he felt like a perfect guide for me.

After many years of apprenticing and personal transformation, it became time to bring my experiences of Sacred Star Astrology out into the world. Raven had come into my life in 1996 but it wasn't until 2012 that I began offering readings and classes. My apprenticeship was long and full. To try to teach earlier would have been premature.

Words never seem like enough to express just how moving it has been to learn from the Raven, Sky Beings, and Spirits. It's like meeting daily with a Council of Ancient Ones who live in the above and beyond. These relationships are what make it all so extraordinary for me. These Ancient Ones have come in different forms and ways, such as Anubis, who guided me to the Egyptian Temple of the Sky. He is pictured at the right and I share a story of my astrological spirit journey with him in this website.

This Sacred Star Astrology is something I very much want to share. If you are interested, I'd be happy to serve as a guide in your dance into the stars!

Ancient Alignments With The Above

Archeoastronomers have been investigating how the Sphinx and pyramids purposefully were aligned with the stars and solstices.

For example, what once thought a narrow passageway to bring air inside a sacred chamber in the Giza Pyramid was actually discovered to be a narrow corridor that was aligned with a pole star in the constellation in Draco The Dragon. This allowed the archeologists to date the construction of the pyramid. This was because the pole star changes over the millennium.

Understanding the shifts of the pole star is essential in star knowledge, because they relate to the change in the astrological ages, including the shift from the Ages of Pisces to the coming Age of Aquarius.

When we explore the ancients' approach to the stars, we not only learn from them, but we open the way to understanding astrology in a larger context. When I venture into the ancient past, I feel like I am part of a continuum of sky watching that goes back before written history. In doing so, I have come to remember past lives when I served as one who looked to the night sky for spiritual and physical guidance and healing. Students have remembered similar lives. This opens up our sense of our Selves where we can fathom our vastness.

Ancient Egyptian spirituality made a powerful impression during my quest for star knowledge. There were priestesses and priests of the old temples who particularly were keen watchers of the sky. Their sacred structures on the land to mirror what they saw in the above. In looking far out into the vast ocean of the night, they understood that they discovered more deeply within themselves.
